Geophysics

Similar to the Specialization program, a BSc Honours degree provides excellent training in one specific subject. As an Honours student you will focus on one main field of study, and must maintain a higher standard of academic achievement than those in a General or Specialization program. This is the best program if you plan to pursue a higher degree or a research or academic career. The Geophysics program uses principles from Physics to understand the structure and dynamics of the Earth below its surface. Geophysical surveys can be used to locate energy sources, mineral and petroleum deposits, artifacts and more. By understanding the EarthпПХs core, Geo-Physicists can also assess natural hazards like earthquakes and volcanoes.
