Health Policy

This program provides students with the knowledge and skills to comprehend, translate influence and shape health policy. It provides an comprehension of the way in which the healthcare system functions as well as the challenges it faces. This class provides a deeper comprehension of the recent issues forming health plan and also an opportunity for specialisation in four important areas: economics; law; communicating and learning; and Indigenous and health. The class also provides a foundation in statistics, epidemiology and Native studies. The class provides a career pathway for health professionals, government employees, consultants and other professionals who want to pursue a career in healthcare or reach their preferred role and want to improve their professional knowledge and experience. Career options include positions in Commonwealth and state departments of health, community and consumer-based advocacy groups, government and not-for-profit organisations, local gym solutions, and non-government service providers.

• Applicants must have completed an UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or filed other evidence of general and professional credentials which shows potential to pursue graduate studies. The English proficiency requirement for international students or neighborhood applicants with international credentials is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0
