The Graduate Certificate in Human Nutrition provides students with the scientific foundation, special knowledge and skills to tackle theories and controversies concerning individual nutrition, to spot the connections between nutrition, health and disease at various stages of the lifecycle and also to increase delivery of nutrition information.

  • Applicants must meet each of the following criteria: A completed bachelor level in science, or related subject (i.e. health or applied science)
  • A minimum of one unit in chemistry
  • A minimum of one unit within human biology
  • second-year level level study in biochemistry (year-long)
  • second-year level level study in human physiology (year-long). This course is not suitable for University of Canberra Bachelor of Human Nutrition graduates that should apply for a Masters level program. Admission to this program is competitive. Applications will be assessed on the basis of academic merit and also the variety of available places.
