The program is intended to fulfill with the core fields of proficiency as defined by the profession, including the crucial areas of specialist practice, improving nutrition outcomes for individuals, groups and communities, critical thinking and evidence-based practice and collaboration with stakeholders. These skills can then be implemented to all areas of exercise, for example clinical dietetics in hospitals and private practice, community and public health nutrition, foodservice systems management and research.
The Master of Nutrition and Dietetics has full accreditation with the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA), making all graduates entitled to the credential of both Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD).
A Bachelor degree of at least 36 months' duration from a recognised tertiary institution. Pre requisite content must consist of content in human biosciences, nutrition and food, educated in an evidence-based paradigm.
