If you wish to join CIPD and eventually gain chartered membership, you will be required to complete a behavioural assessment and provide evidence that you have gained the necessary work experience in HRM/D. The course leader can advise you further on the route to and benefits of CIPD membership. The MSc HRM/D will enable you to:
* Critically evaluate the principles and practices of HRM/D from an academic and organisational standpoint
* Develop ideas and arguments and identify appropriate professional responses
* Develop and apply key skills and knowledge
* Demonstrate your continuous professional development (CPD)
The programme meets the requirements of the Advanced level of the CIPD.
Semester 1 (September to January) There are four assessed modules in the first semester:

* Research Methods
* Developing Skills and Business Leaders

Semester 2 (January to May)
There are five assessed modules in the second semester:

Semester 3 (May to early September)
* You have the opportunity to complete a masters dissertation under the guidance of your dissertation supervisor. It will involve you planning and implementing a research study on an approved topic. This is an ideal opportunity to personalise your study programme to suit your career aspirations and reflect your own interests in a particular HRM or HRD issue.
A minimum of a lower second degree classification (2:2) from a recognised university, or a professional qualification deemed to be equivalent.
