Master of Human Rights Law offers an intensive theoretical and practical grounding in the laws regulating this area. Students will develop advanced professional capabilities to enhance their specialist livelihood in non-government organisations, government sectors, community classes or individual rights-related organisations such as international development agencies. Students may also gain an understanding of the Australian legal procedure, and certainly will investigate contemporary law issues, scholarship and practice, and evaluate complex issues pertinent to this field from theoretical, international and interdisciplinary viewpoints.

  • A mentor honours degree (or equivalent) in a related field, including social sciences, humanities or another relevant subject, as determined by the faculty, with the absolute minimum credit average
  • Or a bachelor level (or equivalent), plus either a graduate diploma (or equivalent) in law or a relevant field, for example social sciences, humanities or another relevant subject, or perhaps a graduate certification (or equivalent) in law or a relevant field, including social sciences, humanities or another relevant field as determined by the faculty
  • Or a bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a related field, including social sciences, humanities or another relevant field, plus adequate applicable work-based experience or professional understanding how to supply the equivalent of a bachelor honours degree in another of the disciplines, as determined by the faculty.
