Course Content
You will study the following modules:
- English for Academic Purposes and Study Skills
The study skills component is an essential preparation for university life. It will help you work in groups, present ideas, manage your time, conduct research, make lecture notes, organise the content of essays and understand how to evaluate your work.
- ICT (Information Communication Technologies)
- Independent Research
You can choose three from the following four specialist modules (please note that the choice of subjects will depend on the student's chosen degree programme):
- Business and Management
- Economics
- Mathematics
In part 2 of this module, you will develop your skills in mathematical topics that can be applied to the world of business, including statistics and probability.
- Politics

You need to have completed 12 years of schooling (or the local equivalent to meet the same standard) with very good grades.

June start - 4 term Extended programme:
IELTS 5.0 (with a minimum of 5.0 in writing and no less than 4.5 in any subskill) or equivalent.
August start - Headstart programme: IELTS 5.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in writing) or equivalent.
September start - 3 term programme: IELTS 5.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in writing) or equivalent.
September start - 3 term Extended programme: IELTS 5.0 (with a minimum of 5.0 in writing) or equivalent.
January start - 2 term programme: IELTS 5.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in writing and no less than 5.0 in any subskill) or equivalent.

Students who have achieved the minimum IELTS score overall but do not have the required score in writing for direct entry will be considered on a case by case basis.
Age:17 years and above.
Students who do not meet the minimum English language requirements may wish to consider the Extended Foundation programme which incoroprates a term of intensive English language tuition at the beginning of the course, allowing you to begin your course and improve your English to a level appropriate for academic study. You will be required to pass the initial English language component before progressing to the next stage of the programme.
