Description
Through a dynamic combination of creative design and practical business, our programme is renowned for developing innovative, independent and entrepreneurial graduates with the skills to succeed in the fashion industry.
Youll be equipped with a knowledge of business and management in relation to the fashion world, exploring marketing, economics and managerial finance, together with a wide rand of technical and practical skills, including pattern cutting, garment construction and computer-aided design with much of the practical work carried out in the universitys industry-standard Design and Cutting Studio.
You will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of the fashion industry and its international impact with study trips to major fashion capitals, which have previously included New York, Paris, Milan and Rome.
As a university we are committed to developing future leaders with an understanding of responsible leadership, cross-cultural awareness and global citizenship and these ideals are embedded across your studies. Throughout the course well look at how issues of sustainability, environmental impact and social justice influence the fashion industry from the global supply chain to consumer buying behaviour.

Course Content
Year 1: Workplace Culture and Behaviour, The Business of Social Science, Foundations of Marketing, Fundamentals in Financial Management, Principles of Fashion Design and Garment Construction Techniques.
Year 2: Society, Employability and Business, Essentials of Managing Human Resources, Consumer Behaviour, Garment Development and Sustainability, Language OR Law in Business OR International Economic Issues and Challenges.
Year 3: The Enterprise Value Challenge, Business Research Methods and Skills, International Marketing Strategy, Contemporary Fashion and Design, and a module from a choice of options including a language, Fashion Buying and Visual Merchandising and Digital Fashion Branding.
Year 4: Honours dissertation in addition to modules including Changing Perspectives in Marketing Management, Collection Creation for Industry and an additional module from a choice of options.
Requirements
Higher: ABBBB, A Level: BBB, ILC-H: A2 B2 B2 B2 B2, IB Diploma: 26 points, BTEC: Level 3 Extended Diploma considered for Year 1 (equal 280 tariff points).
