The Bachelor of Laws satisfies the academic requirements for Entry to practice as a lawyer in the Victorian and Australian Federal legal systems as set by the Victorian Legal Admissions Board. Please be advised that non-academic requirements also have to be satisfied for entry to rehearse and that no law degree allows graduates to practise straight away. The Bachelor of Computer Science is accredited with the Australian Computer Society at the professional degree.

• Year 12 or equivalent
• VCE prerequisites: Units 3 and 4: a minimum study score of 25 in English (or equivalent) or 30 at English (EAL)
• Units 1 and two satisfactory conclusion in in 2 units (any analysis combination) of almost any Math excluding Foundation Mathematics. Graduate entry: An accredited bachelor degree or equivalent in a field besides Law from a recognised tertiary institution with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 (out of 4.0)/65%/Credit. Additional performance criteria and requirement requirements can also apply. English language requirements - satisfactory conclusion of a few of the following: Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced degree ) with overall 70 percent, all of skills 65%
• Minimum IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no single band below 6.0
• TOEFL iBT (internet-based) minimum score of 79 with a reading ring a minimum of 18 and writing ring a minimum of 20
• Pearson (PTE) minimum score of 5-8 (no real skills less than 50)
• Any equal assessment of English language proficiency. Note: A requirement for several courses, the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) can now be done online campus at Hawthorn.
