Studying law is about understanding our society and also the power structures within it. Why do we now have the laws we do? How have they evolved? How should we translate them? Whether you would like to conserve, use or change the machine - law might take you almost everywhere. With your level you may possibly advocate for asylumseekers or be a voice to your own environment. With a small additional training you might direct innovating organizations being a inhouse counsel or lead legal reform creating new bills from government. Perhaps you'll go onto prosecute offenders, or preside at a Supreme Court.

The University of Adelaide's Bachelor of Legislation is Licensed by the Legal Practitioners' Education and Admission Council at South Australia, and provides the academic Base for admission to legal Training throughout Australia. To be admitted to practise in Australia, however, you must complete further legal training. In South Australia, we?the University of Adelaide?together with the Law Society of South Australia, offer this extra training during our Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. But if you wish to seek entrance to practise elsewhere, then you should look for advice from the admitting authority at the appropriate jurisdiction. Upon graduation from the Bachelor of Legislation and finish of the Graduate Diploma and Legal counsel, You'll Be eligible to be admitted into the Supreme Court of South Australia (using a restricted practising certificate). Once acknowledged, you can then make an application for entrance in any Australian jurisdiction.
