What is the purpose of this study programme?

Students will have sufficient knowledge of industrial engineering and will be able to design, produce and exploit mechatronic and robotic systems. They will have the fundamentals of theoretical knowledge in area of special technological sciences and build practical skills, necessary for collecting, analyzing and understand information of industrial engineering area. They will learn to operate with production systems, understand and evaluate main quantity and quality parameters of such systems; identify problems, perform practical research.

What will students learn?

  • About robotics, design and production of industrial robots, its implementation in industrial systems.

  • Knowledge about structure of mechatronic and robotic systems, their designe production and control, ensuring of quality of systems and their maintaining.

  • About CAD/CAM and other software in mechanics systems design.

  • To analyze and design systems of machines and mechanisms using CAD/CAM, to analyze the production process, to choose appropriate materials, equipments, to perform the engineering calculations of the mechanical systems.

Where can students make practice?

Professional practices are carried out in companies with the most recent production facilities and technologies. Students acquire practical skills working with the equipment, technology, learn about the company management.

Where is it possible to study abroad?

With Erasmus academic exchange programme studies are available from one semester to the year abroad. Partnership geography is very wide, practically all of the European Union countries.

What about career opportunities after BSc studies?

Graduates can work in scientific research or practical placements. In practical placements they can get positions of industrial engineer, designer, technologist, diagnostic engineer as well as take leader position in industrial enterprises, state enterprises, municipalities, departments, administering engineering activities and estimating its development and growth prospective.

Course Content


Study programme aims:

  • To deliver knowledge of mathematics and nature sciences, necessary for specialist of industrial engineering, able to design, produce and exploit mechatronic and robotic systems
  • To bring fundamentals of theoretical knowledge in area of special technological sciences and build practical skills, necessary for collecting, analyzing and understand information of industrial engineering area. To learn operate with production systems, understand and be able to evaluate main quantity and quality parameters of such systems; identify problems, perform practical research
  • To deliver special knowledge and develop ability to analyze and solve problems of industrial engineering, be interesting in news of mechatronics and robotics, implement it in practical activity
  • To develop ability to improve professional competence due life-long learning. To develop ability to understand influence of engineering solutions and its importance to grow of society.

    GV4. Interpretation results, sort data by its importance in order to perform design, control production and technical maintenance of mechatronic and robotic systems.

    GV5. Analyzing problematic situations and finding alternative ways of such task solution, understanding consequences of solution to environment and society welfare.

    SG1. will be able to make experimental research, analyze and interpret data.

    SG2. Using new programing languages, necessary to develop and produce mechatronic and robotic systems.

    SG5. Integration news of technological sciences with fundamentals of management and business, other knowledge of humanitarian and social sciences.

    CG1. Communicating, deliving results of work in fluent language orally and in written in mother tongue and in at least one foreign language for various audience.

    Admission Requirements for BSc programmes

    • Secondary School Graduation Certificate with good results, particularly in mathematics, physics, and English. Applications must be accompanied by legalized English translations of all transcripts. Unofficial copies are not accepted.
    • English language proficiency. No entrance examinations for foreigners are needed.

    Applications can not be processed unless they include all the following:

    • Certificate of Education (Secondary/ Undergraduate degree, etc) including Grades;
    • Curriculum Vitae;
    • English profficiency certificate;
    • Medical Certificate (including AIDS test);
    • 4 Passport Photos;
    • A Copy of Passport;
    • Cheque of Application Fee of 100 EUR (non-refundable);
    • Certificate from a foreign bank and notarized letter of guarantee from parents/sponsors along with a document about their financial abilities (present to Lithuania Embassy).

    Note: Legalized and notarized English translation are required for all Education documents.
