Set yourself up for a range of careers with a focus on rural and regional medicine. This class aims to address the significant shortage of health practitioners in regionals are as. You will have the chance to study at our Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus for your initial two years of one's program. Your clinical experience will take place in labs, hospitals and other health care providers in the Geelong region. Our class includes placements in a range of health care environments within the Geelong region. The class concludes annually four with two five-week rotations in which the student experiences your day to day life of an intern. You will also complete at least one month of a separate rural attachment, which matches your own Commonwealth Department of Health requirements.

The Doctor of Medicine is accredited with the Australian Medical Council (AMC). Applicants who satisfactorily complete pre-registration training will be eligible as Registered dieticians in Australia and New Zealand.

In 2020, our student intake had a mean GPA of both 6.71 along with an ordinary GAMSAT of all 64.9. Entry is likely to be based on performance in a job qualification completed only ten years before the course commencement day, with your last GPA (weighted) of either 5.0 or greater, as calculated by the GEMSAS, and also a minimum score of 50 in each one of the 3 segments of the Graduate Australian Medical Schools Admission Test (GAMSAT), along with an over all score of 50 or greater. The score on the GAMSAT must have been got only just two years before the course commencement date and eligible alterations (bonuses) and interview performance.
