This plan will equip students with specialist knowledge and high level skills in the application and research of nanotechnology and new substances. It gives the cornerstone for functions in tech development, in interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary endeavors.

There is no formal professional accreditation with this app, even though graduates may qualify for membership of professional bodies such as the Royal Australian Chemical Institute or the Australian Institute of Physics according to their own specialisation.

An Australian Bachelor degree or equivalent in engineering, engineering , science or engineering, with a solid focus on Physics or Chemistry, with a Grade Point Average (GPA) a minimum of 2.5 out of 4.0. Applicants with a GPA between 2.0 and 2.5 and with at least two years relevant work experience can be contemplated. International qualifications are evaluated in line with the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF).
