Description

The nutrition and health curriculum includes emphasis on health promotion, as well as human nutrition. Health nutritionists develop community programs to promote nutrition and good health; educate people about the relationship between diet and health; conduct research on the psychological, cultural, social, economic, and environmental issues related to nutrition and health; or work with special groups who are at risk for nutrition-related health problems, such as pregnant women, infants, and the elderly. Opportunities are available with local health departments, community wellness programs, and agencies involved in international development.

Students wishing to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Health:

  • Apply online or print out an application there. You’ll apply as a transfer student.
  • If you have received credit from other institutions, have each institution send anofficial transcript to the K-State Office of Admissions, and follow up with that office to make sure that they have received your transcripts. Your application will not be processed until all transcripts from the institutions you’ve identified have been received. Transcripts mailed by students are not considered to be official.     Funding

    Earn part of the $21 million K-State awards each year in scholarships. They're awarded based on academics, activities, service and financial need.

    Students are awarded only one academic or leadership scholarship, where the highest eligible dollar amount is given. Supplemental awards can increase these awards, but the prestigious Presidential Scholarship replaces any other award.
