The educational objectives of this master degree program are to produce a robust base of knowledge from the practice and use of risk impact assessment; also to allow students to carry out a comprehensive scientific study in their particular area of interest.

Graduates of the Graduate Diploma or Expert, Together with appropriate experience, can apply for Professional Membership of the Safety Institute of Australia. The Graduate Diploma is licensed by the Australian OHS Education Accreditation Board (AOHSEAB).

Applicants must have completed the RMIT Graduate Degree in Occupational Safety and Health with a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0. If applicants have graduated from another university with a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent, they are required for entry if they have a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivalent.
