Philosophical Perspectives on Politics and the Economy

Its focus is on issues in the social sciences, but brings the rigours of philosophical inquiry to bear on these questions. The programme thus provokes creative, innovative and critical responses, and cultivates your ability to draw sophisticated connections between social, political and economic phenomena. This specialisation starts per September 2015. Acknowledging that neither politics nor economics is only about the state in the 21st century, this unique programme offers an advanced education at the cutting-edge frontier of philosophy, politics, and economics, providing core literacies as well as state-of-the-art electives. It aims to provide you with the skills necessary both to critique as well as intervene in issues of public significance in dynamic, innovative and creative ways.
