Politics and International Relations

Students with this course explore present-day issues in politics and policy, including domestic security, the struggles of modern terrorism, the idea of democratically informed citizenship, and contemporary regional politics in an Asia Pacific and worldwide circumstance. Students take part in focused discussions of major matters, such as counter terrorism, human security, global governance, foreign aid, trans-national crime, crime, energy security, regionalisation, cyber crime and the rise of populism. Students will: Study concepts, institutions, policies and methods in the areas of politics and worldwide associations in either a historical and contemporary context; recognise and assess political change at a regional, local and worldwide level; apply in-depth understanding of political science and worldwide associations in a fast shifting ecosystem surroundings; and examine the political pressures and challenges societies, authorities , security forces and companies now face.

Admission to this course relies in an entry position. A position can be achieved by a year 12 ATAR, other Australian eligibility, work experience, or an international qualification.
