Primary Education (Health and Physical Education)

This class empowers students to become primary schoolteacher with a specialisation in health and physical education. Students will: Profit appropriate scientific, literacy and numeracy knowledge; master the notions and fundamentals that are the cornerstone for educational practice in chief configurations; demonstrate an understanding of student needs and differences, and the significance of them into learning inclusive, indigenous, EALD and mainstream preferences; plan and develop proper teaching activities for students in a diverse selection of backgrounds; develop and execute effective assessment strategies and carry out assessment of teaching programs, tools as well as your teaching; apply the compulsory content knowledge for all key school curriculum subjects to teaching, assessment and reporting processes, alternate/enhanced literacy and numeracy plans, and the effective utilization of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in learning and teaching; and think on their practice and experiences, and participate in a process of continual advancement.

Admission for the program is based in an entrance rank. A rank can be accomplished by a year 1 2 ATAR, other Australian eligibility, work experience, or an overseas qualification. All applicants will be required to complete a written statement in response to questions intended to check their suitability for the teaching profession. Applicants' responses to those questions must be deemed satisfactory for these to be admitted into the course.
