The Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting can be a four-subject introductory class designed to give a general comprehension of accounting and relevant regions of business analysis. It provides foundation knowledge in the regions of accounting, finance, economics and lawenforcement. This course is intended for students who: would not have an undergraduate foundation in accounting and who wish to enhance their business knowledge, or have extensive industry experience but lack the formal qualifications for direct entry to their master's programs in bookkeeping, or want to finish an introductory course in accounting and related areas and also want to prove their ability to undertake postgraduate study and attain postsecondary qualifications. As this program articulates into the master's programs in professional accounting, this empowers students who do not possess formal undergraduate credentials, for example TAFE diplomats, to find the relevant academic eligibility for membership of CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). The class comprises a variety of accounting, finance and similar subjects which collectively supply a range of essential business skills and knowledge which are essential to get managerial-level employment in the current dynamic business environment. Career options involve things like management-level places in industry or government, as well as not-for-profit organisations.

  • Applicants should have completed a UTS approved bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or filed other evidence of general and professional qualifications which shows potential to pursue graduate studies.
