The psychology major may be taken as either a BA or BS. The 10 psychology courses required for the major are of five types:

The major is designed to maximize both exposure to core disciplines within the field of psychology (core and distribution requirements) and individual student choice (elective courses). Students must complete at least 16 credits (4 courses) in residence at Suffolk University.

A minor in psychology is also available.
