Public Leadership and Policy

Modern societies demand much from people obliged to guard the public attention and pursue the common good. The leading expectation is beneficial direction, especially in the development and delivery of community policy. Public leadership surpassing organisational direction is expected within communities involved in practical outcomes; agencies devoted to regional topics; and, institutions with oversight of national motives. Despite the substantial premium positioned on people direction, few theorists and much fewer professionals have closely examined the challenges of exercising public direction in a range of contexts or the relationship between people direction and policy structures. The Master of Public Leadership and Policy uniquely covers this gap by offering students a combination of classes focused specifically on people leadership along with a rich selection of electives addressing broader issues linked to national, local and worldwide policy and its execution.

• Completion of a Bachelor's degree with Honours with a major in a cognate discipline
• Or Completion of a Graduate degree in a cognate discipline
• Or Completion of a 3 or 4-year Bachelor degree in a cognate discipline, which includes an important from the cognate discipline
• and also have completed at 3-years fulltime professional knowledge in a cognate discipline
• Or Completion of a Bachelor degree in a NON-cognate discipline and have completed at 4-years fulltime professional knowledge in a cognate discipline
• Or Evidence of additional academic qualifications or professional experience submitted to the Program Authority may be contemplated dependent upon assessment of evidence of achievement of equivalent learning and according to UNSW Recognition of Prior Learning Procedure.
