Requirements for Speech and Language Therapy Programme at University of Siena

The Speech and Language Therapy programme at University of Siena is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful Speech and Language Therapist. In order to be accepted into the programme, prospective students must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • Completion of a college-level course in anatomy and physiology
  • Completion of a college-level course in psychology
  • Completion of a college-level course in linguistics
  • Completion of a college-level course in communication sciences and disorders
  • Completion of a college-level course in speech and language pathology
  • Completion of a college-level course in research methods
  • Completion of a college-level course in clinical practicum
  • Completion of a college-level course in professional ethics

In addition to the above requirements, prospective students must also submit a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, and a resume. Upon successful completion of the programme, students will be eligible to take the Speech and Language Pathology Licensure Exam.
