It goes without saying that teachers have to be knowledgeable about their subject, but they also have to be able to get this knowledge across to their pupils, and know how to communicate with teenagers. As a teacher, your job does not only involve standing in front of a class to teach your subject, but you also have to guide and tutor your pupils, set up projects and organise excursions and other activities. Sound like fun? Then consider enrolling in the teacher education programme at the Archimedes Institute, part of HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. This programme trains you to become a teacher in secondary education vocational colleges of secondary education.
