Designed for working teachers, the Master of Education in Teaching Online provides strategies for evaluating and solving educational challenges on the district, school and individual student levels.

This M.Ed. is structured to fit the process for National Board Certification. In this program, you will be empowered to become a highly-effective teacher leader with broad educational leadership training.

The M.Ed. in Teaching is a unique degree program that allows you to work with an adviser to customize the second half of your degree to suit your interests. Once enrolled, your adviser will help guide you in selecting the available courses that will complete your degree.

* bachelor's degree from an accredited institution * two letters of recommendation * professional license(s) certified or licensed as teacher, or transcript must document eligibility for certification in a grades CD-12 teaching area * statement of purpose/essays letter of intent to pursue graduate study that addresses the dispositions (stewardship, intellectual spirit, integrity and justice) of the College of Education Conceptual Framework in the context of the applicant's teaching * Applicants must present (a) acceptable scores on the Miller Analogies Teas (MAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE), OR (b) evidence of three years of successful, full-time K-12 teaching experience, OR (c) evidence of an advanced degree in education, OR (d) National Board Certification.
