Intended for students having an interest in aviation, aeronautics and flying who would like to get the alternative of expanding their studies towards becoming an accredited professional in an engineering field. The only class of its kind in Western Australia, aeronautical technology addresses the technology and science of aviation, including aircraft systems, materials and manufacturing technology, and aircraft performance. Areas of analysis include a base in science and math, along with engineering mechanisms, computer-aided design, engineering materials, and thermodynamics and fluids. It also covers specific aviation science issues such as aircraft structures and systems, aircraft propulsion and aerodynamics. Students will also gain an comprehension of the performance and operation of aircraft contrary to the point-of-view of an aviation technologist. The course focuses on the growth of knowledge and skills relevant to the aviation business, and, along with a sound theoretical basethat includes strong components of technical problemsolving , team work and job work. Because of this, students will possess multiple technical and technical skill competencies, and will graduate with strong analytical abilities and the capability to subscribe to complex projects.Provided appropriate electives are preferred, graduating students will apply to articulate into ECU's Master of Engineering class, specialising in either Civil or Mechanical Engineering. This allows students to achieve expert engineer status after a further two years of analysis.

University admission requirements apply. It is desirable that candidates have passed on Mathematics: Approaches ATAR, with equivalents considered, and Physics ATAR or Engineering Studies ATAR, together with equivalents considered. Intentionally applicants may finish multiplying units throughout the initial year of their studies, if required, should students have not passed one or more of those areas.
