The theatre program at the School for the Contemporary Arts is respected nationally and internationally as challenging training designed to produce a broadly educated and versatile theatre artists. Performance students take courses in acting, movement, voice, playmaking, clowning, directing, critical and dramatic literature, and dramaturgy.The School for the Contemporary Arts, an interdisciplinary department, provides an exceptional opportunity for theatre students to study art forms outside their major. Graduates of the School's theatre program are well prepared to collaborate with artists in music, dance, film, and visual art - a unique advantage as they enter their professional lives.This program is offered at the Burnaby and Vancouver campuses.
