This qualification reflects the roles of training programmers and instructional designers that are responsible for analyzing training needs and designing training solutions and products to meet workplace capability requirements, and also evaluating the efficacy of training programs. It's possible they have a role in providing guidance and advice to trainers and assessors, encouraging advanced practices, e.g. elearning, as well as in researching and incorporating best practice in training and assessment to training programs and products.
