This qualification reflects the function of a veterinary nurse who works under the supervision of a registered vet to give nursing care to animals, to encourage veterinarians to carry out surgical and medical treatments, and to encourage clients to keep health of animals.The Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing necessitates usage of patients (animals), clients, surgical and medical cases, veterinary staff, and practice policies and procedures.To achieve this qualification, the candidate will need to have done at least 240 hours of job positioning as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the relevant units of competency.The scope of training for veterinary nurses is dependent on territory and state legislative and regulatory requirements.
