This programme is designed for students in disciplines related to design, such as architecture, design, geography, town planning or fine art, or from the environmental sciences, such as horticulture, botany, biology or forestry. Direct entry to the Master's programme requires completion of the Certificate in Landscape Design but is also open to students who have a British or US-style BA Hons landscape architecture degree and who choose not to undertake the Diploma in Landscape Architecture. There is a strong element of digital design using industry standard software. The dissertation is completed in the last term by flexible learning.

The university is investing £76 million in a new building to house the campus library, TV studios and academic facilities for disciplines including architecture, design and construction. Stockwell Street is a short walk from the Greenwich Campus and this programme will be delivered there from 2014.

This programme can lead to careers as landscape architects in public and private sectors in the UK and worldwide.

The aims of the programme are:

* To act as part of a professionally accredited set of programmes leading from the Certificate Landscape Design or a US or UK style Bachelors in Landscape Architecture elsewhere
* To develop sustainability issues as a fundamental aspect of landscape architecture practice
* To encourage landscape design experimentation at an advanced level.

Applicants should have:A good first degree in landscape architecture or recognised equivalentOR the University of Greenwich Certificate in Landscape Design or equivalent. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa.
