These courses address the nondestructive testing of aviation parts and aircraft and the use of advanced composites in the larger transport category, corporate and military aircraft. CareersThis program is designed for maintenance technicians with supervisory or management goals such as shop foreman, lead technician, director of maintenance and other leadership positions.
Graduates enter careers as certified mechanics at major airlines, national and international carriers, regional airlines, and corporate and general aviation operators. Training in electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems; composite and metal fabrications and repair; avionics; engine overhaul and troubleshooting provides graduates with key knowledge and skills demanded by many industries in and beyond
aerospace.
Graduates have obtained positions with companies such as Cessna, Duncan Aviation, Yingling Aviation and more. FAA-certified mechanics inspect, repair, modify and maintain aircraft for manufacturers, commercial airlines, businesses and corporations, general aviation and unmanned aerial operators.

Earn part of the $21 million K-State awards each year in scholarships. They're awarded based on academics, activities, service and financial need.
Students are awarded only one academic or leadership scholarship, where the highest eligible dollar amount is given. Supplemental awards can increase these awards, but the prestigious Presidential Scholarship replaces any other award.
