Ancient and Medieval History

History in the broadest sense is the study of the human past. In a narrower sense it is the study of the records and relics of the human past. The Department of History and Classics offers an undergraduate program focusing on ancient and medieval cultures. Students will study these historical eras through the lenses of geography, politics, gender, art, literary works, and others.
