Combining indepth studies in chemistry, analytical sciences and chemical engineering, this class will put you at the forefront of developing new technologies which could change the whole world. As an RMIT student, you will acquire the special mixture of science and engineering skills to focus with the evolution of new services and services from the first lab stage through to largescale manufacturing companies. The class covers the utilization of chemical sciences and technology for the design and improvement of industrial processes. You are going to discover to make the processing businesses work more efficiently and minimise their environmental impact using more energy and producing less waste. Your studies in chemistry will demand hands-on experience, together with a theoretical and practical understanding of analytical, instrumental, organic, inorganic and physical chemistry. Students should undertake at least 12 weeks of technology job experience during their study.

This program is fully accredited by the Royal Australian Chemical Institute. This program can also be fully accredited by Engineers Australia. Graduates of this program qualify for graduate membership of Engineers Australia. Australia is one of 15 countries who are signatories to the International Engineering Alliance, also known as the Washington Accord, for engineers. The qualification of graduates from this level is recognized in every countries who are signatories to the Accord. Participants will also be eligible for graduate membership of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). IChemE is your primary international professional society for its chemical scientist. The program is licensed by IChemE (UK) at the being level.

  • Prerequisites: Units 3 & 4-a study score of 20 at Chemistry and one of Mathematical Methods (CAS) or Specialist Mathematics, and a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English
