Chemical Engineers get the ideal sequence of physiological, biological and chemical processing activities, and also the right operating conditions, to convert raw materials to high value products safely, effectively and also on a large scale. In the Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering), students examine the development, design, appraisal and management of processes for the production of a wide assortment of materials. Building on this base, students carry on to research process control, synthesis and design, process economics, risk management and safety, and scientific tests for general compound processes. Professional Chemists are essential to the operations of the majority of manufacturing, processing, currencies and other businesses. They utilize sophisticated tools for the analysis of raw materials and finished products. The Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) provides students having a body of knowledge about chemistry and a variety of skills required for a career in a contemporary analytical or industrial laboratory. The combination of the two level applications provides graduates with improved abilities to work at the interface between the two areas from the research and development of new processes and also the advancement of existing industrial operations

This Program is accredited by Engineers Australia and the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). Supporters of the class may be qualified for membership of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI).
