The aim of the BA (Human Resource Management & Leadership) program is to develop a global business graduate with a well-rounded and state-of-the-art HR management and leadership expertise, and a skill set that can be adapted to different business settings. Our program encourages students to delve deep into the dynamics of employee behavior and the impact this has on the functioning of organizations. As such, students will learn to manage a diverse workforce, create employee recruitment plans and training schemes, and devise HR and leadership strategies.
Berlin International is set within the unique Berlin context, which is apart from the seat of many MNCs also a major start-up hotspot in Europe: Our students can thus take their pick in terms of either working for a start-up or multinational corporation after their graduation.

Project work and practical orientation
Based on a limited number of carefully selected and designed modules in the first year of your studies, you get to cover all major business administration fields, such as foundations of management and marketing, international business, digital business and organizational theory. Simultaneously you get to further develop the all-important practice-oriented business skills, such as team building and conflict management, as well as critical thinking. From the third semester onwards, you then get to really focus on the specific topics of particularly human resource management, organizational leadership, strategic HR management and HR analytics. Additionally, you get to practice negotiating skills and learn to conduct talent management workshops and psychometric assessments. We also help guide your internship journey and thus the overall career preparation.
Together, we conduct business simulations, role-plays, and workshops, as well as discuss current business practices and challenges with members of leading multinational corporations and startups. Our truly international student body enables you to gather diverse perspectives on a number of collaborative projects.
Language requirements
Applicants must provide proof of their English skills: TOEFL 537 (paper-based), 74 (Internet-based), IELTS 6, FCE B. If the applicant's English skills are not sufficient at the point of application, an English language preparatory course (one to two semesters) may be taken at BI.

Funding opportunities within the university
Berlin International offers a scholarship programme for excellent students. Three university-internal scholarships are offered to students of the Bachelor's programme in Business Administration: one 50% scholarship and two 25% scholarships. Services and support for international students
International students are assisted by our Students Affairs Officer with general, non-academic issues. An Internship Office assists students in finding fitting internship possibilities in Berlin or elsewhere (also internationally). Due to our excellent staff-student and professor-student ratio, each student will have the opportunity to receive help and assistance in academic and non-academic matters, if required. Cultural events and trips to get acquainted with Berlin and Germany are organised by the BI team. If students choose to live in the apartments provided by the university, English-speaking staff are available.
Accommodation
Accommodation in single or double, fully equipped student apartments can be arranged. The building complex is situated in a quiet and safe residential area in south-west Berlin. The apartment building is well connected via the public transport system to the main campus and to all parts of the city. English-speaking staff are available.
