The programme contains seven core modules. They include: Organisation Theory, Corporate Functions, Key Competencies, Human Resources Management, Strategic Information Management, Economic Policy and Strategic Management. Each semester takes 15 weeks to complete and is concluded by a two-week examination period.
Semester one introduces participants to the most important business principles, operations and processes as well as to essential management and research approaches.
Semester two focuses on strategy formation and implementation, the essential aspects of managerial finance and control and corporate governance. These subjects are supplemented by competence-based contents aimed at developing the learners' interpersonal skills, such as projects (a module which may include international weeks as well as assignments with international virtual student groups).
The final stage has been earmarked for the Master's thesis which is either based on in-company project work or on independent student research.
The Master's course may constitute a basis for further doctoral studies which will be supervised by the Centre for Business Administration and Management at Heilbronn University and by external institutions.
