The students of the Master and Doctoral programs in chemistry will be trained both theoretically and experimentally in all major fields of chemistry, including Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and related disciplines. The lecture course includesa variety of lectures and seminars, which will provide students with a deep insight into the most fundamental concepts, mechanisms and theories in modern chemistry. The experimental research activity of Master and Doctoral programs involves the exploration of many chemical problems, including study of the molecular structures and properties of various chemical compounds as well as mechanisms of their formation. Through this research, the students will be introduced to the modern advanced research techniques, using the innovatively sophisticated instrumentations. Such broad theoretical and experimental training will educate students to be highly professional and creative researchers needed at the present-day time.

  1. Credits: Students should get 25 credits of Chemistry Seminar II, Advanced Exercise in Chemistry III, Research Proposal, and Special Research in the own field.
  2. Research Proposal: The students will present and defend a research topic of their own choice outside the direct area of their PhD thesis. The purpose of such presentation is estimation of the students’ potential to perform an independent research in their future.
  3. Submission of Abstract of PhD Thesis: The abstract of PhD thesis should be submitted and examined by professors in the final third year.
  4. The Doctoral (PhD) Thesis: After getting all 25 required credits of courses and seminars, students should submit and defend their PhD thesis. A thesis on a subject chosen by the candidate should reflects their ability to carry out an independent research in the future. This thesis must be approved by the special committee in charge of the PhD thesis, and then this PhD thesis should be presented by the candidate at the oral examination. After submission and successful defence of the doctoral thesis, the candidate will be granted a PhD degree. This is a standard procedure for Doctoral program in chemistry. However, based on the student’s progress, it is possible to complete Doctoral program in less than three years.
