Due to it is rapid growth, "Computer Engineering" is in a leading position in the future of professions. The main philosophy of our department is to educate engineers equipped with up to date knowledge who can produce knowledge and respond to the needs of the academic life and the business sector successfully. Our department offers undergraduate and masters programmes; the infrastructure for a Ph.D. programme has been setup. The research fields of our academicians are analysis and design of algorithms, microprocessor systems, embedded systems, computer architecture, computer networks, database systems and database application development, computational geometry, parallel programming, software engineering and high-performance computing.

The aim of Computer Engineering Department is to become a leader in education and research areas among our national engineering departments and become a well known computer engineering department at the international arena.

Our mission is to offer a high guality engineering education at world standards by creating leading knowledge with original research in our area and to graduate engineers who

  • can be employeed in industrial and academics fields, home or abroad, with a variety of job responsibilities and be a candidate for succesful careers,
  • can have strong engineering background equiped with modern technological knowledge,
  • can follow up the scientific and technological advancement and renew himself/herself continously,
  • can be responsive to the local and global problems and be aware of the professional, social and ethical responsibities,
  • can perform the written and oral communication very well.
  • Kadir Has University Department of Computer Engineering aims to graduate engineers who

  • can solve the problems by using the knowledge of the basic science, discrete mathematics, basic engineering and computer engeering, and can have the questioning, creative and research oriented minds,
  • can use the modern engineering techniques and equipments and can develop the information technologies, as well as analyze, design and manage the hardware and software aspects of the computer systems,
  • can define the complex problems, collect data, interpret data and can be able to analyze, develop the models and provide effective solutions for the problems,
  • can develop the ability to perform experiments at the labs for the engineering problems,
  • can have the ability to work on multidisciplinary subjects with team as well as indivually, can develop the realistic design projects and can present his/her solutions effectively,
  • can communicate very well in written and oral form, can follow up the international developments in his/her fields productively,
  • can understand the importance of live long learning, can follow the computer science and technological advancements and renew himself/herself continously,
  • can follow the contemporary issues and can be sensitive to the local and global problems, can understand the impact of the engineering solutions on the ethical and legal results,
  • can be knowledgable about the project and the business application of the project, the quality control of the products with entrepreneur inspirations.
