As a student in Computer Engineering, you will be engaged in the fields of computer science and electrical engineering combined. You will study and apply algorithmic, electronic, and digital design principles. Computer Engineering is a discipline that exemplifies the science and technology of design, construction, implementation, and maintenance of software and hardware components of modern computing systems and computer controlled equipment. As a computer engineering graduate, you may be involved in circuit design and development, firmware development, software development, hardware integration, and system level design and integration. Students choosing the Co-op program will complete their degree in five years.Career opportunities may be available in computer design engineering, computer architecture, electronics design, software development, and development in operating systems and networks.
