Counselling is a cross-disciplinary pathway in to a career in helping human beings in distress. In counselling, clients learn self-knowledge and eventually become able to change through a passionate helping relationship, in which high levels of sensitivity, skill, self knowledge and ethical conduct are expected of their helper. In contrast to a number of the longer-established helping professions, counselling, as educated in this system, places greater focus on the introduction of a therapeutic atmosphere for your client compared to specific strategies or the utilization of particular theoretical units. Sequenced trained in basic competencies and concomitant self-awareness forms a big portion of the first season of their app. Throughout, relevant theory is learned from direct relation to practice. This app is targeted specifically at graduates in psychology, social work or welfare work that are currently employed in counseling, and who want to take up a one year part-time schedule to expand and deepen their current skills and knowledge base. Students who wish to meet Expert Training Standards are proposed to enroll in the Graduate Diploma in Counselling.

Undergraduate degree or higher in any area and a set meeting on campus to present suitability for the application. Invitations to the meeting process will undoubtedly soon probably be selective, based on CV and letter, and interviewees will soon probably be ranked, as numbers admitted to this program are somewhat not limited.
