Comprehensive computer and network security requires professionals who can step beyond traditional IT roles to design, execute and evaluate solutions that can stand up to today’s increasingly sophisticated attacks. These attacks threaten every level of society, and every industry. At the same time, organizations continue to face a shortage of qualified professionals to meet modern cybersecurity challenges.

The National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have designated The University of Delaware a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education.

With a master’s degree in cybersecurity from the University of Delaware (UD) you will experience the foundational theory and hands-on training required to effectively defend your infrastructure. Unlike many other cybersecurity programs, UD’s M.S. in Cybersecurity shows you how to design secure software, networks and systems.

Drive Innovation in Cybersecurity

UD’s online M.S. in cybersecurity is ideal for professionals with a background in engineering, computer science, information systems or related fields. The program’s expert faculty members have vast experience across the government, military and corporate sectors, and center their instruction on real-life scenarios grounded in universal theory. This prepares you to design and execute sophisticated solutions that protect global systems and infrastructure.

This flexible online cybersecurity master’s can be completed in as few as two years. In this 30-credit degree program, you will:

  • Gain the skills to design secure software, networks and systems using a comprehensive approach.
  • Use virtual machine environments to apply forensic tools to real-life scenarios incorporating current threats.
  • Learn from faculty who are active practitioners and researchers with experience in corporate and military systems.

As a graduate of this program, you will be positioned as an elite specialist in a rapidly growing industry.

A Leader in Cybersecurity Research, Education and Implementation

The University of Delaware’s Cybersecurity Initiative is a renowned hub of education, research, workforce training and development in the field of cybersecurity. Its focus on developing partnerships with government, private and academic organizations has led to working with the U.S. Army, JPMorgan Chase, IBM, GE, Bank of America and more.

The University of Delaware, located halfway between New York City and Washington, D.C., is a confluence point for the corporate, intelligence and military communities. Additionally, with more than a million companies making the state their legal home, the NSA- and DHS-endorsed University can help you make essential connections within the cybersecurity community.

Take the next step in your career with an online master of science in cybersecurity from UD. Complete the form above to request more information and an admissions counselor will contact you soon.
