The focus area of the profile is Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Students on this profile will have greater knowledge within the main subjects that are relevant for central aspects of Global Logistics, Supply Chain Management and Operations Management.
The profile in Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management comprises four constituent courses: Supply Chain Inventory and Production Planning, Supply Chain Links and Enterprise Resource Planning, Strategic Issues in Supply Chain Management and Management Accounting. These courses combine the strategic, the tactical and the operational aspects of supply chain management. Cost accounting and ERP outlines certain control and incentive problems both in relation to the individual partner in the chain and the total chain which are analyzed more closely in the 2nd semester courses.
Furthermore, the student will gain knowledge about and skills in using tools and models designed to analyze, plan and optimize core areas of a firm. Strategic, tactical and operational aspects of Operations and Supply Chain Management are the main focus areas on this profile.

Admissions to the programme as of 1st February will commerce with 30 ECTS elective courses. Please check the list of the preapproved elective courses on the website.
You have the choice of some more broad courses or courses from other profiles constituent courses on 1st semester - preferable due to progression. You can also go abroad and take the elective courses at another university,do an internship in a company or combine both.

Graduates has knowledge about and skills in working with: Supply Chain Designs, Forecasting, Project Scheduling, Capacity Planning, Forecasting, Sourcing Decisions, Logistics, Sales and Operations Planning, Inventory control with various types of demand (deterministic, random and seasonal), Production Scheduling, Material Requirement Planning, Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain Science (Capacity, Variability, Batching, Flows, Buffering, Push/Pull Production), Coordination Problems and Bullwhip Effects, and Contract Designs to Coordinate Supply Chains.

A MSc in Economics and Business Administration can, within the area of the profile, manage work and development situations that are complex, unpredictable and require new models for solutions. The graduate can independently take responsibility for own professional development and specialization. The board of the University of Southern Denmark decides from year to year which study programmes will benefit from the scholarships and the University will recommend the most qualified applicants in these programmes for a scholarship. Therefore it is not possible to apply for this scholarship. If you are a non-EU student and applying for a programme which offers this scholarship you will automatically be considered for it.
BHJ Scholarship
Only available for students applying for a master programme at our Sønderborg Campus
Six one-year scholarships are issued pr. year: three for studies within the technical field i.e. Mechatronics and Innovation & Business respectively, and three are for studies within the field of business administration i.e. Business Relationship Management.
A scholarship of DKK 40.000 may be granted if and when the requirements are met. It is paid in two instalments of DKK 20.000 per semester. The scholarship grant depends on acceptance and enrolment as a full-time student in one of the above mentioned programmes.
