The Bachelor of Education (Secondary)/Bachelor of Arts provides an initial, undergraduate teaching qualification with the ability to pursue interests in the humanities. The Bachelor of Education (Secondary) engages students with advanced methods of learning and teaching with a particular focus on the societal, ethical and professional implications of the growth of technology. It combines general education and program studies using three professional trainings in a second school, ensuring pupils are more qualified to teach generations 7 to 12 as well as prepared as future educational leaders and innovators. Graduates will be eligible for provisional registration by the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) as secondary instructors, and by reciprocal agreements with teacher education government in different nations , they are entitled to provisional registration in most Australian states and territories.

  • Year 12 or equivalent
  • VCE prerequisites: Units 3 and 4: the absolute minimum study score of 25 in English (or equivalent) or even 30 in English (EAL). All candidates must maintain a present Dealing with Children Check (from the appropriate State Authority) and a recent Police Check throughout the Term of the Program. All applicants (both conventional entrance and non-year 12 entry) must sit down the CASPer test. All applicants must prove suitable English language proficiency for successful completion of the course.
