The Master of Finance (Extension) provides an extensive assortment of skills and expertise expected of leading professionals in the banking and finance industries. The fund program provides participants with the ability to acquire knowledge of finance theory and techniques for leading edge professional training purposes. The extra elective subject decisions provide the opportunity to specialise more deeply in the fund field and to help enhance students' skills, professional training, specialist knowledge and skills. Career options include management-level positions in government or industry.

This course covers a wide assortment of the pro knowledge areas required to be ASIC RG146 enrolled. Conclusion of the course meets the education requirements of registration at the amount of Certified Finance and Treasury Professional (CFTP). In addition, it meets the educational requirements at the level of Senior Associate (SA Fin), in conjunction with work experience, at the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA). The course has already been given postsecondary partnership status by CFA Institute (USA). The curriculum is closely tied to global professional clinic and also is ideal for students preparing to sit for CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) app assessments.

  • Applicants must have completed a UTS approved bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted additional evidence of general and professional credentials that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies. The English competency requirement of global students or community applicants with international credentials is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0
  • Or TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 complete with TWE of 4.5, internet established: 79-93 complete with a writing score of 2 1
