Food Technology, Nutrition and Chemical Engineering

As an RMIT Food Technology and Chemical Engineering student you can study scientific and engineering fundamentals, product development, large-scale substances processing and issues surrounding food for human ingestion. This degree prepares you for professional employment from the food industry in addition to other chemical process industries. Food science and chemical engineering issues are studied in all years of this course. Later years of the class incorporate a focus on food processing and product development, in addition to projects in both the engineering and food locations. You'll be required to attempt at least 1-2 weeks of technologies work experience during your own study. Candidates are eligible for membership of the Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology (AIFST). The Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) degree is accredited by Engineers Australia and graduates are eligible to apply for graduate membership. The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), located in London, is that the key international specialist society because of its chemical scientist. All of RMIT chemical technology degrees fully satisfy the (UK) requirement for certification at the MEng degree.

• Prerequisite: Units 3 and 4-a Analysis score of at least 20 in Chemistry and Mathematical Methods (CAS) or Pro mathematics and a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or at least 25 in Some English
