The Graduate Diploma in Health Economics offers students an protracted understanding of how society handles and allocates its resources to enhance the overall health of populations. It's the only graduate degree in Australia to offer classes in the mainstream financial theory and practice and health economics, and has a strong focus on the evolution of practical skills to support the application of health economics at the real world. The diploma provides students with an extensive foundation in key financial principles and techniques and health economic evaluation, and public health policy. Students undertake a total of eight classes; four in economics, two at health economics and two by a wide variety of elective courses provided by the School of Public Health, letting them tailor their studies into their areas of interest. Students learn in tiny groups with close oversight from leading researchers with international reputations and realworld experience while within the area of medical economics. A flexible and contemporary teaching arrangement provides options for completing the degree on the web.
