This class will give you an understanding of health promotion concepts and approaches as they relate to contemporary medical problems in Australia and internationally. You will see app preparation and development approaches and gain an understanding of the significance of needs assessment, vision and goal setting, application design principles, assessment style, budgeting, sustainability and resourcing. As a graduate, you will be qualified to take advantage of the career opportunities which exist worldwide in federal and international health businesses, community businesses, human services agencies, government departments, and NGOs. Roles may include health promotion officer, policy officer, health and wellbeing officer, community development officer, health instructor, as well as functions in youth services, aged and disability providers and healthcare.

Graduates in this Class Ought to Be eligible to apply for Registration of the Australian Health Promotion Association and the International Union of Health Promotion and Education.

Entry will be based on operation in Bachelor Degree or more or two years relevant work experience or signs of academic capability judged to be equivalent.
