This innovative MA offers students from a wide range of Arts and Humanities backgrounds the opportunity to study the intellectual history, politics, literature, music, material culture, buildings and landscape of medieval and Renaissance Europe. You will be taught by specialist staff from Archaeology, History, Literature and Music and the rich and varied programme is designed to equip you with the particular skills needed to access and study the past, and to undertake independent research in all aspects of early modern culture.
All students take a core module in classical and medieval Latin, and a module in palaeography which will teach you how to read original documents in Latin and English.
