The financing of the International Business program at the University of Gdansk is primarily based on a combination of public funding, tuition fees paid by students, and potential scholarships or financial aid options. As a public university in Poland, the University of Gdansk receives funding from the Polish government, which supports the development and maintenance of academic programs, including International Business. This public funding ensures that the programs are accessible and affordable for both domestic and international students, contributing to the quality of education and infrastructure.

Tuition fees constitute a significant part of the financing structure for non-European Union students, as well as for students enrolled in programmes offered in languages other than Polish. These fees are designed to cover costs related to teaching staff, administrative support, learning resources, and facilities. The fee structure is set annually and varies depending on the level of study and student nationality. European Union and EEA students often benefit from lower or subsidized fees due to agreements within the European Higher Education Area, ensuring access to high-quality education at a more affordable rate.

The University of Gdansk also encourages students to seek external financial support through scholarships, grants, and student aid programs. These financial aids are provided based on academic merit, financial need, or specific criteria such as social or territorial origin. The university collaborates with national scholarship schemes like the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), offering opportunities for both Polish and international students. Additionally, some students may secure funding through Erasmus+ mobility programs, which facilitate international exchange and can include financial support for study-related expenses.

Private sponsorship or partnerships with local and international businesses also contribute to the financing of the program. Such collaborations may include sponsorships, internships, or research projects that provide additional resources and practical opportunities for students, enhancing their learning experience and employability. The university may also generate income through research grants and consultancy projects that, although not directly financing the program, support its overall academic environment.

In summary, the financing of the International Business program at the University of Gdansk is multifaceted, relying on public funding, tuition fees, external scholarships, and partnerships. This diversified approach ensures the sustainability of the program, maintains high educational standards, and offers financial accessibility to a diverse student body.
