The International Management (English Trail) program at the International School of Management is designed to equip students with comprehensive skills and knowledge essential for successful careers in the global business environment. Educational organisation

During the first three semesters, students acquire fundamental knowledge in core business functions and theories from courses such as Business Administration, Business Mathematics, Financial Accounting, Value Chain Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing and Rhetorical Skills. Other topics include international management, project management, corporate social responsibility, investment and financing, service management and business law. The curriculum is closely aligned with the employment requirements of internationally networked companies in Germany and abroad.
Bachelor's students have the opportunity to integrate up to two semesters abroad into their study programme. Their fourth semester must be completed at an ISM partner university. Students who decide in favour of the BSc International Management Global Track degree programme spend an additional semester abroad at a partner university in the seventh semester. They all profit from a network of more than 170 universities worldwide. All courses taken abroad are approved jointly by the programme director and the ISM International Office. 50% of the courses taken abroad are programme-specific in order to fulfil the requirements of the study programme; the other 50% are electives. In addition to a deepening of industry knowledge while studying abroad, students gather experience about the economic, political and cultural environment of their host country, while at the same time gaining first-hand insights into different academic systems and methods.
During the fifth and sixth semesters, Controlling as well as General Management are compulsory as are language courses and a workshop. Students can then choose two out of six possible elective modules.

Study abroad unit(s)

The programme BSc International Management offers one integrated semester abroad. Students who choose the BSc International Management Global Track programme, spend two semesters abroad and receive a total of 210 ECTS.

Internships

Students participate in a total of 20 weeks of internships, including 10 weeks abroad.

Language requirements

Applicants need to prove a B2 level in English.

Academic requirements

The ISM Bachelor's programmes are designed for applicants who have achieved a general qualification for university admission (Allgemeine Hochschulreife) or a qualification for
admission to universities of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife). All applicants applying for a Bachelor's programme at the ISM are required to pass an entrance examination.
