The Legal Studies program at UOIT prepares students for leadership roles in the interface between law and social organization. The Legal Studies program draws on disciplinary strengths in sociology, political science, philosophy, psychology and law to give students an integrated background that is specifically directed at an appreciation and mastery of legal development and administration. The first year of study is common to all Legal Studies students. Beginning in second year, students will have the opportunity to continue with the Comprehensive program or to specialize in Human Rights Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution or Information Law.
